Cookie policy

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages or between visits: from the language you chose to which pages you have seen.
Which cookies this site uses
Loading this site installs no cookies at all. There is no analytics, there are no advertising pixels and there is no social media content loaded in the background. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, so your browser makes no request to third-party servers when the page opens.
There is a single exception, and it depends on you: YouTube videos.
YouTube videos
On some pages we show the thumbnail of a video hosted on YouTube. As long as you do not play it, there is nothing there but an image: the player is not loaded and YouTube receives nothing from you.
If you press play, the YouTube player is loaded and from that moment Google may store information in your browser and receive data such as your IP address and which video you are watching. We use YouTube’s enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which reduces what is stored, but does not eliminate it.
That information is processed by Google, not by BRU Network, and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. If you would rather it did not happen, simply do not play the video.
And there is a second exception, this one ours: Google Analytics, which we use to know which pages get read and which do not.
It does not load on its own. Until you accept it in the notice that appears when you arrive, not a single line of Google code is downloaded and no cookie is stored. If you decline, you are not asked again and it is never loaded. You can change your mind from Cookie preferences, at the foot of any page.
Google explains in detail what it does with this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. This link is a contractual obligation under the Google Analytics Terms of Service (section 7), not a courtesy.
If you accept, Google Analytics stores two cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) to tell repeat visits apart. They run with the IP anonymised and with advertising and profiling consent permanently denied: we do not use this data for ads and we do not cross it with anything.
What happens if you write to us
The contact form uses no cookies. The data you enter is sent to our server and forwarded by email to BRU NETWORK S.L. solely in order to reply to you. You can read how we handle that information in the legal notice.
The client area
Access to app.bru.network is a service separate from this site and it does need technical cookies to keep your session open. They are strictly necessary for the service to work and do not require prior consent. They are explained inside the client area itself.
How to manage cookies
Even though this site does not use them, you can review and delete the cookies you have stored at any time from your browser settings. Every browser lets you view them, delete them and block third-party ones.
Changes to this policy
If in the future we add any tool that installs cookies, we will update this page before doing so and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your prior consent.
